A political caucus meeting is a local, community-based gathering where registered voters come together to participate directly in the democratic process. Held in even-numbered years for every precinct or neighborhood, caucus meetings are open to all registered voters and provide an opportunity to discuss issues, elect local leadership, and participate at the grassroots level. At these meetings, participants also elect county and state delegates, who go on to help select Republican candidates for public office. Participating in a caucus is a privilege and a responsibility, giving voters a direct voice in how their communities and government are represented.

Resolution Pathway: From Precinct Caucus to State & National Consideration

The Larimer County Republican Party’s resolutions process gives grassroots Republicans a clear, structured way to elevate ideas from the local level to broader party platforms. Any eligible registered Republican in Larimer County may submit a resolution, beginning with discussion and refinement at their precinct caucus. Approved resolutions advance to the Larimer County Republican Assembly, where delegates vote on which proposals move forward. Those that pass are then sent to the Colorado Republican Party State Assembly—and, if approved there, may be considered at the national level. Throughout the process, resolutions are reviewed for clarity, format, and compliance by a dedicated committee, ensuring transparency, fairness, and meaningful participation at every stage.
